Types of Formation Packages – Both CorpNet and ZenBusiness offer three different service tiers. It’s important to note that state fees are additional and not included in package pricing.
Name Availability Check – This is a fundamental part of the business formation process and included in all packages from CorpNet and ZenBusiness.
Articles of Organization (LLC) Preparation and Filing – This is only relevant if you are forming a Limited Liability Company, but preparation and filing of Articles of Organization are included in all packages offered by CorpNet and ZenBusiness.
Articles of Incorporation (Corporation) Preparation and Filing – Like the LLC service, you can expect the creation of the Articles of Incorporation to be included in all incorporation packages provided by both companies.
Free Registered Agent Services – CorpNet offers a full year of free registered agent services in its Deluxe and Complete packages. ZenBusiness does not offer free registered agent services with any of its packages.
Initial Incorporator Resolutions – CorpNet offers these for free in its Complete Package.
Bylaws – CorpNet* and ZenBusiness include bylaws in their premium packages. For a fee, you can add bylaws to their basic and mid-level packages.
Custom LLC Operating Agreement – Both providers include this in their most inclusive package and ZenBusiness includes it in its mid-tier package. Customers may add it to a lower-tier package for an additional fee.
Federal Tax ID Number – Obtaining an Employee Identification Number (EIN) is included in both service providers’ mid- and top-tier packages.
S-Corporation Election Form Preparation – CorpNet offers S-Corporation election filings for LLCs and C Corporations as an add-on service to all formation packages. ZenBusiness provides S Corporation filings for LLCs but not for C Corporations.
Business License and Permit Research – CorpNet and ZenBusiness provide this service as an add-on offering.
State Payroll Tax Registration – CorpNet provides state payroll tax registration services, managing the process of registering your new business for State Unemployment Insurance Tax (SUI) and State Income Tax (SIT) in all 50 states. While ZenBusiness offers helpful guides and information, it does not directly register businesses for state payroll tax accounts.
Expedited Document Preparation, Filing, and Processing – Both providers offer rush filing services. The pricing and availability of expedited services depend partly on the state.
LLC or Corporate Kit and Company Seal – CorpNet includes a kits and company seal in its highest-level package. They are available for an additional fee with the low- and mid-tier formation packages. ZenBusiness provides the option to purchase a kit (which does not include a company seal) as an add-on.
Shipping and Handling Fees – Both providers charge a shipping and handling fee for mailing hard copies of your business documents.
Online Access to LLC or Incorporation Documents – CorpNet and ZenBusiness offer online access with every service package level.
