What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes CorpNet’s (“we,” “us,” or “our”) practices in connection with our business-to-business related services (the “B2B Services”) offered in the United States only. If you are located outside of the United States and seeking services from us within the United States, please review below, Section V Transfers and Storage of Personal Information. If you are a job applicant, this Privacy Policy also applies to you.

By using the CorpNet’s B2B Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This privacy policy describes how we collect and use your information in connection with our B2B Services and our website, apps, blogs and social media platforms (collectively, “Sites”). By using the Company B2B Services and our Sites, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

California residents who are business consumers acting as employees, owners, directors, officers or independent contractors of an entity conducting due diligence or providing or receiving a product or service from us (“CA B2B Contacts”), Section I of this Policy below, which describes our collection and use of information practices through our Services, also serves as our Notice at Collection for California residents for purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). The remainder of this Policy also is applicable to CA B2B Contacts as well.

Personal Information that is a matter of public record, collected from job applicants or employees of ours, or collected when you click on a third party link found on our website, or when you use social media widgets we provide on this Site are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective upon posting of the revised Policy on the Internet, accessible through our Sites.

The table below and additional paragraphs immediately following the table are a summary of the categories of Personal Information we have collected over at least the last 12 months, the purposes for collection and use of that Personal Information, and how long we keep each category of Personal Information.

Business Background and Credit Information including business creditworthiness, public records and other business-related background data We do not sell or share your Business Background and Credit Information with third parties for targeted advertising. We use this information only to evaluate business creditworthiness, establish credit limits, and manage financial risk in connection with Strategic Business Partner programs, which includes reseller credit applications. All evaluations are conducted at the business entity level. We do not conduct personal background checks or consumer credit evaluations without your express written consent.
Device, Internet or Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers, such as your IP address, device type and settings, device identifiers, browser type and settings, operating system, ISP and mobile network provider, web beacons, pixels, and usage information, such as the time and date of your visits and the content

We sell or share your Device, Internet or Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers with third parties for targeted advertising. We also use this information to:

  • personalize your experience with us, including promotional communications;
  • provide access to our B2B Services in a form that can be viewed most easily on your device;
  • determine the general geographic region from which you are accessing the Services, using your IP address, which allows us to present appropriate content for your jurisdiction;
  • review statistical information about the use of our B2B Services and Sites in order to improve their design and functionality, to understand how they are used, and to assist us with resolving questions;
  • recognize you, your device or your browser when you use our B2B Services so that we can facilitate navigation and display information more effectively;
  • track responses to our e-mails and advertisements; inform you about new products, features, updates, and special promotions, we think you might find interesting; and
  • serve you ads about products we offer.
Commercial Information, including information about your business necessary to provide the B2B Services, such as filing corporate documents, obtaining a Federal Tax Identification Number, establishing your payroll/employer tax registration, applying for sales and reseller permits We do not sell or share your Commercial Information with third parties for targeted advertising.  We use this information to act on your behalf to provide our B2B Services, which includes business filings with government entities and compliance duties.
Inferences drawn from Personal Identifiers, Demographic Information, Device, Internet, and Network Activity, Online Identifiers, and General Location to create a profile about you We do not sell or share Inferences we make about you with third parties for targeted advertising.  We use the Inferences we draw from your activities on our website to personalize your experience with us on our Site and through email communications.
Precise Geolocation Information We do not collect your Precise Geolocation Information.
Sensitive Personal Information, such as your Social Security Number and Driver’s License Number We do not sell or share your Sensitive Personal Information with third parties for targeted advertising. We only use this information as necessary for operation, security or legal functions.  We do not use it for profiling, personalization or advertising.
Audio and Visual Recordings We do not sell or share your Audio and Visual Recordings with third parties for targeted advertising. We use this information for customer service and quality assurance purposes.  Phone calls to our customer service number are recorded and AI scored to be routed to the right department for handling. We also use video or audio recording of testimonials with your consent.

Specifically with respect to business credit and background information, we may retain and periodically review throughout the duration of our relationship with our Strategic Business Partners, in accordance with applicable commercial data retention standards.

Related Parties. For example, we may collect your information from a business in which you are a shareholder for business purposes, including to complete the formation of the business or to file Beneficial Ownership Reports.

Unrelated Parties. For example, we may receive information about you from an entity with which we do not have a relationship such as in documents we receive on your behalf in our role as a Registered Agent.

Service Providers and Contractors. For example, we work with service providers and contractors who collect Personal Information on our behalf in order to provide B2B Services to us, such as:

  • Manage, improve, and host our B2B Services through business studies, marketing campaigns and IT development and support,
  • Verify your information,
  • Authenticate payments and process orders and payments, or
  • Provide fulfilment of our B2B Services.

Professionals (including attorney and tax experts). For example, we may receive information from the attorneys or accountant that you work with through our product offerings that you select. In the case of information we receive from attorneys, it will only be at your direction, and we do not intend to collect any information that would result in a waiver of attorney-client privileges.

Strategic Business Partners. For example, entities with which we engage in cross-promotional or product integration activities, including businesses that are part of our partner program affiliate agreement or reseller partner agreement.

Commercial Credit Reporting Agencies. For example, we may receive business credit reports from companies like Dunn & Bradstreet or Experian Business in connection with our Strategic Business Partners credit applications and ongoing account management.

Affiliates and Subsidiaries. For example, if we acquire an ownership interest in a company, we may receive information about you as part of that acquisition if you have previously done business with them.

Publicly/Commercially Available. For example, we collect:

  • Information in the public domain,
  • Data available in open government databases to help us with fraud monitoring and prevention, compliance with applicable law and regulations, reviewing and processing your employment application and other information, or
  • As otherwise permitted by law.

III. Disclosures of Personal Information

We disclose your Personal Information described above as follows:

Internally. We disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with other affiliated businesses who jointly use Personal Information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, where this is acceptable under applicable law.

A Business That Acquires Us or Our Assets, in a Business Transfer. If another party acquires all or substantially all of our assets, all categories of Personal Information listed above and any other information that we have collected in connection with the Services, will be transferred to that party as part of our business assets. Also, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, all such information will be considered part of our assets that can be sold or transferred to third parties.

Government Authorities, Legal Rights and Actions. We will disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with various government agencies if required or requested to do so by law or if we believe such action is necessary or advisable in order to:  (1) conform to the requirements of the law or comply with valid legal process served upon us; (2) protect or defend our legal rights or property, the Services, or our customers or users; (3) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Use; and/or (4) any other reason in our sole discretion. We may also use IP address or other Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with copyright owners, Internet Service Providers, wireless service providers or law enforcement agencies in our discretion. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.

Third Parties. With your consent (or where you do not decline when permitted by law), we disclose Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, and Online Identifiers to third parties, such as our advertising and marketing partners, media partners and platforms, data analytics providers, social networks. We may also share business credit-related information with commercial credit reporting agencies, financial institutions, and third parties as permitted by law and necessary for credit evaluation and monitoring.

Service Providers and Contractors. We disclose all categories of Personal Information listed above with Service Providers and Contractors to perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, email marketing, website analytics, marketing and promotions, advertising technology services, cloud data storage, technology support, and customer service. These Service Providers and Contractors will access all categories of Personal Information as necessary for them to perform their duties. For example, we will share bank details and payment card information with payment processors when you provide a payment card in connection with a purchase. When we share Personal Information with Service Providers and Contractors our contracts prohibit them from using or sharing your Personal Information for any reason except to assist us in operating our business and providing Services to you.

Facilitating Requests from You. We disclose all of the categories of Personal Information listed above at your request or direction.

Consent. We disclose all of the categories of Personal Information listed above if we have let you know what information will be shared, with whom, and obtained your consent.

IV. Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable steps, including physical, technical and organizational safeguards, including the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We use industry-standard SSL/TLS to transmit payment card information, and employ regular malware scanning procedures.

Regardless of our measures and efforts to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and security of your Personal Information. V. Transfers and Storage of Personal Information

If you reside in a country other than the United States of America, you should be aware that the data that we collect from you will be transferred to and stored in the United States, and if you give us your Personal Information, you give us your express consent to the transfer. The laws of the United States may not protect the privacy of your information at the same level as provided by the laws of your country.

Our Services collect Device, Internet and Network Activity Information, Online Identifiers about you through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies placed by us and third parties (collectively, “Cookies”).

Please note that you cannot opt-out of non-promotional emails, such as those about your account, transactions, servicing, or our ongoing business relations. If you are a CA B2B Contact, you have the following rights regarding your Personal Information (subject to certain exemptions):

Right to Know & Access You have the right, up to two times every 12 months, to ask us to disclose the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, our business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing Personal Information about you, the categories of Personal Information we sold or disclosed, the categories of third parties to whom we have shared Personal Information about you, and the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you. You have the right to request a portable copy of your Personal Information. In some states, you also have the right to receive a list of the specific third parties with whom we might share your Personal Information.
Right to Correct and Delete You have the right to send us a request to correct or delete Personal Information we have about you, subject to certain exceptions allowed under applicable law.

We use artificial intelligence and machine learning for various purposes to deliver our platform and associated services and use your Personal Information in combination with Artificial Intelligence. For example, when you call our customer service number, your phone calls are recorded and artificial intelligence scores them so they can be routed effectively. We also use artificial intelligence for quality assurance purposes. We have a live chat functionality on our website that uses artificial intelligence as well.

When you use the Services, you may sometimes be directed by links or other means to third-party websites and services that are not affiliated with the Websites or with us. When you go to unrelated websites or services, please note that we do not control their privacy and security. They may send their own cookies or other tracking technology to visitors or solicit and use your information in different ways than those described in this Privacy Policy. We cannot provide you with any information about third-party practices or the information collected or used by third-party websites or resources.
